Corrective Rhinoplasty for Contracted Nose and Multiple Revisions

This case report presents a patient who sought treatment at Noselab Plastic Surgery for a contracted nose deformity resulting from multiple previous rhinoplasty procedures. The patient’s history included several interventions over a 25-year period, involving various materials and techniques.

Before rhinoplasty

Problem / Baseline

The patient’s surgical history included:

  • 25 years prior: Silicone nasal implant
  • 19 years prior: Silicone nasal implant
  • 15 years prior: Silicone nasal implant with ear cartilage graft
  • 10 years prior: Dermis graft with ear and septal cartilage grafts, and implant removal
  • 2 years prior: Nasal filler injections

These prior procedures contributed to the development of a contracted nose, requiring a complex corrective strategy.

Surgical Approach

Given the patient’s extensive surgical history and the complexity of the contracted nose, a tailored surgical plan was developed. While the specifics of the procedure are individualized to each patient, our approach often involves open rhinoplasty techniques for optimal visualization and reconstruction. We specialize in closed rhinoplasty and revision cases.

After rhinoplasty

Outcome / Improvement

The corrective rhinoplasty aimed to address the nasal contracture, improve nasal aesthetics, and restore a more natural and balanced appearance. Specific outcomes and improvements vary depending on the individual patient’s anatomy and goals. Further details can be discussed during a consultation to determine the most appropriate course of action.
