Closed Rhinoplasty Korea + Permanent Filler Removal

1. Preoperative consultation

The patient had a gotten permanent filler that does not dissolve 10 years ago and had a surgery to remove foreign substances by cutting the back of the nose skin at another clinic, but the foreign substances were not removed, so she came to my clinic to remove them and correct the long nose. The foreign substances were all over her nose, especially the lower part of her nose, so she wanted to remove them all.

2. A surgical plan

After removing all foreign substances, I planned to use self-rib cartilage to shorten the tip of the long nose, and asymmetric nose bones will be corrected through lateral osteotomy.

3. Surgical findings

Foreign substances were spread very widely from the bridge of the nose to the tip of the nose, so they were removed neatly, and during the process, a mesh was found at the tip of the nose used at the previous clinic and completely removed.

4. A picture taken immediately after surgery

The spread of the nose bridge from the front was naturally improved. On the side, you can see that the starting point of the nose bridge was very high due to foreign substances, and the foreign substances that were in the nose bridge were naturally lowered, and the foreign substances were removed.

Removed mesh photo and foreign substance (semi-permanent filler).

If you look at the photos of the nostrils, you can see the improved appearance of the nasolabial column bent and thickened by foreign substances.

5. A general review

It’s a foreign body removal surgery. It’s one of the most difficult surgeries to remove foreign bodies. It’s a surgery that requires removing the entire foreign body that doesn’t damage the dermal layer, and normal tissue damage is inevitable than other surgeries, which can lead to bleeding, swelling, and bruises. Our Noselab has been safely performing numerous foreign body removal surgeries for many years.
